The First Five Years

Tuesday, April 12, 2016

By Terri Schaefer

Nearly five years ago, on May 26, 2011, I had the pleasure of posting the very first volunteer-written ACHA Blog post, “Meeting My Own Personal Rock Star,” by Christy Sillman. Today, as I prepare for my final day as ACHA Communications Manager tomorrow, I’m posting my last blog. More than 600 posts later!

I just want to take this small space on the ACHA Blog to say THANK YOU. To our bloggers—current and former, longtime and guest—it has been an absolute honor to share your stories with those in the CHD community, promote openness, and foster a sense of camaraderie. Thank you for teaching me so much through your words.

Readers and supporters, thanks for making the blog one of the most popular parts of our website, and for reading and commenting on the variety of stories and posts we’ve shared through the years.

I’ll miss working with our volunteer bloggers and interacting with our readers, but I’ll remain one of those loyal readers myself—and can’t wait to see where the ACHA Blog goes next!
