Congenital heart defects (CHDs) affect 1 in 100 babies born and are the most common birth defect. Medical advancements have come so far that there are now significantly more adults than children living with CHDs. These adults are planning and creating their own families.
Join us to hear patient stories, ask questions, and connect with one another. There will be conversations about the struggles, successes, alternatives, and options as featured speakers share their personal stories. This is a casual and rare opportunity for CHD patients and our community to connect on this impactful decision. There will be experiences ranging from IVF, adoption, falling out of care, to people who remain childless by choice or necessity.
NYU Langone adult congenital heart disease expert Catherine Weinberg, MD, will host and moderate the evening providing expert insight. She will be joined by maternal fetal medicine expert, Shilpi Mehta-Lee, MD. Together, their perspective and medical expertise will ensure that our conversation provides accurate and trusted information.
