During Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) Awareness Week (February 7-14), I will be selling high quality greeting cards to raise money for the Adult Congenital Heart Association. The mission of the Adult Congenital Heart Association is to improve and extend the lives of the millions born with heart defects through education, advocacy and the promotion of research.
Their mission is close to my own heart as I was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a common CHD, myself! I had my first surgery at age 4 where they removed my pulmonary valve that was too restrictive (and did a few other things). That fixed things for quite a while, but thanks to the research and education in the field over the past 30 years, they discovered that living without a pulmonary valve for too long brings on some other big problems. So at the age of 41, I had my second open heart surgery to get a new pulmonary valve in November 2017! I want to help others like me whose lives can be saved by further awareness, research, and education!
During this week I will be posting information about CHD, ACHA, and of course the CARDS! My goal is to sell 50 boxes so I can donate $600 in cash to ACHA! We can help save lives together! Hope you will join me! Here is the order form: https://form.jotform.com/80224082078149.
*Note that cards will be shipped mid-March.
