ACHA Receives Grant to Support Heart to Heart Ambassadors Program

Edwards Lifesciences LLC awarded ACHA with a $50,000 grant to support our Heart to Heart Ambassadors Program in 2011 and 2012. Our Ambassador Program provides nationwide, supervised peer support and personalized information to adults with CHD and their families. ACHA’s Ambassadors are CHD patients and family members trained and equipped with resources to assist patients in need of support and information. Over the course of this grant, we aim to increase our impact by expanding the Ambassadors Program to raise national awareness of CHD, promote the importance of lifelong, appropriate CHD care, and help prevent premature death and disability among this severely underserved patient population.
