About the Presenter

Corinne Smorra, DSW, MSW, LCSW, transitioned to clinical social work after careers in advertising and real estate. Her research interest is social work services, and therapy for individuals who are born with CHD. Dr. Smorra earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Western Michigan University, Master’s in Social Work from Western New Mexico University, and Doctorate in Social Work from Walden University. Currently she is the Chief Clinical Officer of Heart and Mind Counseling, whose clinicians help clients in 20+ states. Dr. Smorra is licensed to practice in 18 states, certified in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), and counsels those impacted by CHD, chronic disease, anxiety, depression, trauma, organ transplant, end of life, and grief. Dr. Smorra is a contributing faculty member in the Social Work Master's Program for Walden University and associate adjunct professor for the Master’s Social Work Program at Western New Mexico University.
