Since the passage of the Congenital Heart Futures Act in 2010 and, subsequently, the Congenital Heart Futures Reauthorization Act of 2017, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has enhanced and expanded congenital heart defect (CHD) research, tracking, and awareness activities.
