Director's Description

KACH offers specialized care for the adult congenital heart patient. We have a team in place that is able to manage all aspects of care from the outpatient to the inpatient and from the milder forms of CHD to the most complex. We excel at catheter-based interventions with a highly skilled team and perform transcatheter based valve replacements in many of our patients, which helps them avoid a trip to the operating room for another open-heart surgery. We have highly specialized imaging capabilities with expert cardiologists with ACHD advanced imaging dedicated to reading these images. We have a strong CT surgery program, and we have a collaborative relationship with Cincinnati Children's Hospital. We have worked hard to put a program in place that is patient-centered, up-to-date, and holistic that utilizes the latest data/technology to ensure the best care possible. Not only do we provide excellent care to our patients, but we also CARE for them as well.

Dr. Leventhal and Dr. Brunmeier work closely with the University of Kentucky PEDS cardiologists for ease of transition and to include their expertise as well.
