Director's Description

The Seattle Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program is a collaborative program between the University of Washington Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital that is amongst the largest in the country. The program has a well developed clinical program to provide comprehensive care to all adolescents and adults with congenital heart disease. ACHD outpatient services are offered at several satellite and outreach clinics. We partner with community and regional providers in caring for this unique patient population across a five state region and often beyond. There is ACHD expertise in subspecialties including, imaging, cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. The program and patients are supported by an excellent team including a program manager, program coordinators, nurses, and a nurse practitioner. We also have an active and well supported educational program including senior ACHD fellows and rotating cardiology and pediatric cardiology fellows. The ACHD faculty are all academically and scholastically productive, and ACHD research is a growing effort.
