About this Event
This year’s annual half-day symposium, hosted by TOUCH and Children’s Hospital of Illinois, will focus on pediatric cardiology. Presentations cover cardiac catheterization, pediatric neurodevelopment, and child life services as well as a patient/family panel discussion. Exhibit tables offer support for people throughout the lifespan—learn about ACHA from speaker Kristi Ryan, APRN, a former member of ACHA’s Board of Directors, and drop by our exhibit table to meet up with other adult ACHA members attending the event. In addition, we’ll have helpful information to support families with children transitioning from pediatric to adult care.
The program will feature guest speaker Annamarie Saarinen, a public health economist, co-founder of the Newborn Foundation and Bloom Standard, and mother of a baby born with critical congenital heart disease. She helped develop and launch four medical devices and is recognized for spearheading universal newborn screening (CCHD) in the U.S. and internationally. Registration is $10.
