ACHA in the South Central Region

Welcome! I’m Jessica Kruse, the South Central Regional Specialist for ACHA, serving Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and New Mexico. Originally hailing from Wisconsin, I have lived in San Antonio, Texas for the past eight years and am proud to call it my home!

Working with ACHA in the South Central Region is truly an honor. I am passionate about connecting patients, family members, and caregivers with the support and services they need, and strive to continue to educate myself on how to be the best possible advocate for the CHD community.

Want to get involved in the ACHA community? Here are four things you can do right now:

  1. Sign up for our mailing list to keep on top of regional and national ACHA news.
  2. Check out ACHA events in your area. We are starting a free, monthly virtual CHD support group. These meetings will be on the third Tuesday of every month, beginning June 18. Additionally, there will be a regional conference in Houston on September 21. Be sure to check this page frequently to keep up with the most recent events information!
  3. Get information on specific types of heart defects, access to care, and more on ACHA’s Resources webpage.
  4. Send me a message! Let me know how I can help or how you’d like to get involved.

I just joined the ACHA team in March so I’m still new, but I will be making regular visits to the region’s ACHD clinics soon. Contact me for more information about when I’ll be in your area. I always have time for a chat or a cup of coffee!
