COVID-19 and Adult Congenital Heart Association Events

Posted Wednesday, Mar 11, 2020

The Adult Congenital Heart Association is actively monitoring the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The safety of our members and supporters is of utmost importance to us. For that reason, ACHA will continue to monitor COVID-19 and assess the status of our events. In the near future, this includes our Michigan Regional Conference on May 2 and all Walk for 1 in 100 events in April and May. We are working with all venues regarding extra precautions; for example, at our upcoming walks, we are increasing handwashing stations, ensuring hand sanitizer is on hand in abundance, and limiting food to prepackaged snacks and bottled water only.

At this point, all ACHA events will continue as planned, but if this changes in the future we will communicate the event’s status to attendees. As the situation is rapidly evolving, we are reassessing our events regularly.
