We are happy to announce to our members and supporters that the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) is preparing to offer the Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Certification Examination for the first time on October 20, 2015.
As you know, ACHA first endorsed the creation of a special ACHD training pathway in 2001, in response to the struggles our members face in finding cardiologists capable of caring for their health challenges. The subspecialty was created in late 2012. We are so excited to share the news that the examination will be starting this year, and thankful to the ABIM for its investment in the future of the congenital heart community.
