Dear ACHA members and supporters,
Your hard work has paid off! In the budget reconciliation bill, passed by both the House and Senate today, $2 million was appropriated to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to address epidemiological and longitudinal data on individuals of all ages with congenital heart disease. The appropriation of this money to fund the activities called for in the Congenital Heart Futures Act is a battle hard fought, and ensures permanent forward progress. The Adult Congenital Heart Association is working closely with the CDC to ensure that this is implemented effectively.
Each voice has made a difference in achieving this tremendous success. Pat yourselves on the back, then roll up your sleeves and join us as we continue to fight for the needs of adults with congenital heart disease.
