Announcing ACHA’s newest programming for healthcare providers! The Provider Action for Treating Congenital Hearts (PATCH) program aims to engage and educate community and general cardiologists by increasing awareness of the ACC/AHA care guidelines, increasing general cardiologists’ awareness of when referral to an ACHD provider is needed plus increasing collaboration between ACHD and non-ACHD healthcare providers in order to promote and provide high-quality ACHD care to patients around the country. Through the collaboration of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and ACHA, the PATCH Program will support a wide range of activities, including:
- “ACHD 101” presentations by ACHA MAB members at ACC State Chapter meetings around the country
- A program-specific website containing information and resources for healthcare providers
- All-member webinars on CHD-specific lesions
- Networking activities to facilitate and enhance collaborative care between general cardiologists and ACHD cardiologists.
ACHA urges all healthcare professionals serving the heart defect community to become professional members of ACHA. To learn more about membership benefits or to become a medical professional member of ACHA, click here.
