Director's Description
Since the 1980s, the Miami Adult Congenital Heart Center has been the only center in Southern Florida able to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of congenital heart disease under the same roof to this unique group of patients. Although the program has existed since the 1980s, we formally announced the creation of the multidisciplinary MACH program in 2009. In addition, the MACH program allows adult patients with congenital heart disease to see physicians with expertise in multiple disciplines such as reproductive and genetic counseling and makes every effort to treat patients regardless of insurance coverage.
