Director's Description
The ACHD section at UH/Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital is uniquely positioned within a shared facility where the adult and children's hospitals are connected both physically and ideologically allowing comprehensive and convenient care to the adult congenital patient. The section of Adult Cardiology is one of the leading centers in the world for patient care and research. Dating back to it's inception in July of 1960, the Pediatric Cardiology section at UH/Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital has an outstanding record for comprehensive care of the adult congenital patient. Our program has a joint cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology division and provides for the presence of both a pediatric and adult care giver during the procedure. The full and complementary services of our world-renowned pediatric hospital, world-class adult facility, and the powerful research capabilities of Case Western Reserve University combine to offer the adult congenital patient a unique range of services and excellent care.
