Director's Description
Our congenital heart surgical program began over 35 years ago and is the only one located in downstate Illinois. We are located in an adult hospital (OSF St. Francis) along with Children's Hospital (The Children's Hospital of Illinois) and are the only facilities in downstate Illinois to offer a full range of services to adults with CHD. We are affiliated with the University of Illinois in Peoria. We have a unique close relationship with Internal Medicine Adult Cardiologists to allow seamless care for this unique population of patients. We practice within a center that cares for patients across the spectrum of life.
