The program focuses on the management of diagnosed or suspected congenital heart defects. Services include: initial consultation; interval clinical and cardiac imaging follow up; ongoing patient education and counseling regarding physical activity, career, and lifestyle; coordination of appointments and collaboration with appropriate specialists. Surgery is done at the congenital regional surgical centre at the University of Alberta Hospital.
