Preparing for Surgery

All congenital heart patients, friends, family members, and interested healthcare professionals in the Delaware Valley are warmly invited to hear about recent patients’ experiences with surgery and how to prepare yourself for surgery as an adult.

The Delaware Valley Adult Congenital Heart Community (Del Val ACHC) provides community support to adult patients with congenital heart disease through creating an online and in-person forum to connect with patients to benefit from their experiences. We help patients form connections and friendships through fun, social activities and CHD-focused educational events to prevent feelings of isolation and loneliness while dealing with CHD in adulthood.
