Volunteer Opportunities

We need YOU to volunteer for ACHA!
ACHA has a total of three paid staffers—much of what we do relies on the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.

Local Group Leader
An ACHA Local Group is comprised of people who are affected by congenital heart defects in some way (self, family member, or friend has congenital heart defect(s)). You can give the ACHA members in your area an opportunity to meet each other and stay in touch. A Local Group Leader hosts local social meetings, organizes educational, advocacy and awareness events, and operates in collaboration with the ACHA national office to facilitate group communication. For more information contact LocalGroups@achaheart.org or call (888) 921-ACHA.

Newsletter Volunteers
Are you a writer who would be interested in taking on volunteer writing assignments for ACHA's Heart Matters newsletter? If so, e-mail Newsletter@achaheart.org or call (888) 921-ACHA to find out more.

Conference Committee
Would you be willing to help with ACHA conference registration, refreshments, group facilitation, transportation, merchandise/craft tables, or other on-site tasks necessary to help ACHA's next national event run smoothly? If so, e-mail Conference@achaheart.org or call (888) 921-ACHA to find out more.

ACHA is also looking for people with the following skills to work on assigned tasks as necessary. If you have a skill or interest is not listed below which you think could help serve ACHA’s mission, we encourage you to contact us as well. Please e-mail Info@achaheart.org or call toll-free at (888) 921-ACHA to find out more.
